Dance is my passion. It has been for about three years. I love it. That’s obvious. This year I want to expand the classes I want to take. I am a competitive dancer, so it’s already sort of expensive, but not bad. I want to take more classes, but my parents are not keen on it, but it’s something I want more than anything. I know I can’t always get what I want, but how can I convince them?
I’ve also been told I can go very far if I take more classes. This would honestly make my life.
I’m pretty sure that your parent want you to take the classes but maybe they cant afford it right now. The cost of living is going up so maybe they dont have the extra money, if this is the case maybe ask for it as a present for a holiday or something. If you dont think it’s about the money prove to them you deserve it or maybe help out around the house so they will do it

So, I joined dance classes and I suck!!! Everyone is super professionals at dancing and I can't keep up. They think that everyone there can take in every single step. So, I want to quit.
What excuse should I use to the dance instructor??
Please do not write an answer saying KEEP TRYING. Because I tried MANY TIMES and they won't slow down!
Instead of them slowing down, do the opposite. Practice at home for as long as your moves are not perfect. Use the moves that you see in class and practice, practice, practice at home! Where do you think all those dancers in your class got good? It certainly wasn't by doing absolutely nothing. Be quick and try to follow the dancers' pace.
Don't quit. You just started. You haven't have time to get 'into' it, you haven't had time to adjust yourself to it.
Hope it didn't sound mean, that wasn't my purpose.

I'd like to start my 3 year old daughter in Bollywood dance classes just to get the idea of Indian dancing and enjoy the music/energy. Are there any such classes in Singapore? I have only been able to find classical Indian dance classes.
If so, can I get names, locations, contact info, etc?
Yes there are several.
I have done jazz dance before and the attire was pretty simple. However, I am just starting a hip-hop dance class and was wondering what to wear. I don't want to show up looking like I have no idea what I'm doing. I have read a few website regarding what to wear. However, I want to hear some advice from actual dancers who take hip-hop classes.
I'm on a hip-hop team and we were sweat shorts (like soffee shorts) and big T-shirts. Anything loose that you can move around in. I wouldn't show up in anything too fancy – you might be over-dressed. Your best bet would probaby be layers – wear a sports bra with a tank top, and throw a tshirt over that. Wear shorts with sweats over them. Then, no matter what the other people are wearing, you'll fit. And you can adjust your outfit to the temperature!
For shoes, I suggest just wearing Tennis Shoes (clean ones!) but bring your jazz shoes along – it really depends on the teacher. Don't go out and buy plit sole tennis shoes because your teacher might refer you to some.
Good luck! Hip hop is really fun. I'm sure you'll love it.
